FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The wedding dress code is formal. We recommend floor-length dresses for women, and a suit and tie for men.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:30PM, so we ask that you arrive by 5:00PM to ensure you have enough time to settle in and find a seat.

Question

Where should I go once I arrive at Chicago Athletic Association?

Answer

The ceremony is held in the White City Ballroom located on the 8th floor of Chicago Athletic Association. Please use the elevators (multiple available) to go to the 8th floor. There will be signs, as well as staff, pointing you to the White City Ballroom once you are on the 8th floor. If you have any trouble, you can also ask hotel staff at the front desk on the 2nd floor.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at Chicago Athletic Association, where we have a hotel block for guests to stay. Our additional hotel blocks (The Palmer House and Silversmith Hotel) are both less than a 5 minute walk away. Because of this, there is no need for further transportation, but rideshare services and taxis are easily accessible.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Valet is available at Chicago Athletic Association. The valet stand is located at 71 East Madison Street. For guests driving in for the event, the rate is $40 for up to 8 hours with mention of being onsite for an event. For guests staying overnight, valet is available for $84/vehicle with in-and-out privileges. Parking can also be found on SpotHero or at the Millenium Garages.

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. When your server comes around to take your dinner order, please let them know of any dietary restrictions or allergies. All dinner courses can be modified upon request.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We politely request no children attend the ceremony and reception unless noted on your invitation. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because of limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand our decision.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be indoors.
