Will and Marc met on Tinder in September 2020 when they both swiped right. After their first date—a Thursday night spent having drinks at the Wine Loft and Common Market in Southend Charlotte—they spent the rest of the weekend together, and every weekend since. After four incredible years side by side, traveling all around the U.S., living together for two years, purchasing our first home, and welcoming two fur babies into our family, it was clear to both of us that engagement and marriage were right around the corner. Since our engagement was a decision we made together, we didn't feel the need for a traditional proposal. Instead, we began planning what became our "engagement trip" to Vietnam and Cambodia. We picked out our rings together, both knowing that the other would propose at some point during the two-week adventure. But we kept the details—where, when, and how—a surprise!

We met up for a drink at The Wine Loft where Marc was his usual fashionably late. After some good initial small talk we kept the good vibes going and walked to Common Market where we split a bottle of wine.

After a month of dating, Marc took Will on a short day trip for his 26th birthday to hike Linville Falls followed by drinks at Linville Falls Winery. It was here that we had the conversation that we were "officially" together.
