Hood River has NO UBER/LYFT at all in town. There are a few limited taxi services, but with numerous weddings every weekend, they won't be reliable. While we provide shuttles for key events, we highly encourage guests to rent a car to drive from Portland/Seattle and use it throughout the weekend.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please wear formal attire. To us, this generally looks like suits (ties not required) and mid- to-floor-length dresses. The Gorge is windy, so please plan accordingly and consider a layer for the evening. If your dress has a little white on it, that’s okay! White accessories are also completely fine. While we ask you to avoid casual clothing, we want you to feel your best, whatever that looks like. For those wearing heels, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be on a lawn. The reception will be the only time we have hard flooring.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. We will transition into a tent for dinner, drinks, and dancing.

What is the weather like?

Answer

August temperatures in Hood River range from 75-90° F in the daytime, and 60-65° F at nighttime. Our wedding venue is situated on a cliffside overlooking the Columbia River, so it may be windy. We recommend bringing a light jacket.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Parking at the venue is for vendors only. Shuttles will be provided to and from the venue at the locations listed. We kindly ask that all guests take the provided shuttles.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children in the wedding party. While your little ones are welcome at other events throughout the weekend, we ask that arrangements be made for them to stay behind on Saturday. If you need local childcare recommendations, please reach out. Thank you for understanding!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we cannot provide everyone with a plus one. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Can I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

Yes, but we ask that guests refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony.
