Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Will Sampson and Kristy Staky
Some truly stand-up people will be standing up with us at the wedding. While we could go on and on about how much we love them, here's just a little bit about these wonderful humans.

Sam Rogers

Best Man

Will and Sam have known one another since Middle School back in Murray KY. They worked several jobs together over the years, including one in the Virgin Islands and another that took them around the country through 18 states. Although they now live about as far away as one can in the continental US, they stay in touch with weekly phone calls.

Rachel Staky

Best Sibling of Honor

Kristy and Rachel have know each other since Rachel was born! As Kristy's only sibling, they've spent years playing together, confiding in each other, and generally going through every life event side by side. Even though they live far apart, they've stayed close spending holidays and family trips together. If you close your eyes when you talk to them, it can get very confusing, as they sound remarkably similar and make the same jokes.

David Robertson

Best At Putting Up With Will The Longest

David and Will have known each other since they were three years old. They attended pre-school through high school together, went their separate ways for college, but wound up back together in Los Angeles, at times only a few streets apart.

Leslie CaDavid

Best Friend of Honor

Leslie has been Kristy's best friend ever since she started dating Cal (Kristy's other best friend) 8 years ago. Leslie is Kristy's ride or die, and the person that keeps her sane. Conveniently located just down the block, Leslie is constant part of daily life. Bonus: She is also the mother of Olive's best doggie friend, Mog. The two can often be found rumpus-ing around the backyard, or taking long walks together in the neighborhood.

Brian Barrow

Best Roommate

Brian and Will lived down the road from each other in college, and then together when they first arrived in LA for 6 years, and then together again later in life for another 4 (including during Covid, which counts as 100). It is a special kind of friendship that can withstand that close proximity for that long. Their shared love of cooking, wood working, and board games made the years go by quickly.

Cal CaDavid

Best Bride's Man

Calder was Kristy's roommate in college. For the past 12 years (with the tiny exception of the 1.5 years where Cal still lived in Chicago), they have shared literal bedroom walls, or at absolute farthest, lived a 2 minute walking distance from each other. Their love of game nights, family shared meals, theater, and Dungeons & Dragons (ok, not really, they play Pathfinder), keeps them actively in each other's everyday lives. And that isn't changing any time soon.

Andrew Penczner

Best Travel/Work Partner

At Florida State University, the film school hand picks 30 students each year. Each student is a particular archetype and Andrew was the Will from his class. They always got along and worked together on many projects over the years across the country that took them through 15 states.

Kelly Lohman

Best Not Actually Kristy's Sister

For years people have told Kristy and Kelly that they were the same person. And honestly, that might be true. Though not actually related, Kelly is like Kristy's older sister. She's who Kristy turns to for advice, and can always be counted on for good food or book recommendations. After 11 years of taking annual wine trips together (and a myriad of other adventures), maybe they should just be considered "wine sisters".

Joy Fox

Best Man... That Is Not A Man

Joy and Will also hail form FSU origins but din't really connect until they landed in LA. Since their arrival they have made sketches, been workout buddies, and had countless movie nights. Will is the God Uncle to Joy's adorable pup Autumn. Joy is a Ninja Turtle loving 3rd degree black belt and writer.

Sally LaRowe

Best Long Distance Bestie

Sally and Kristy met in college at The Theatre School at DePaul University. Along with Cal, the three of them spent many nights playing games, eating Sally's delicious baked goods, watching movies, going to parties, and generally enjoying Chicago college life. When Kristy moved to LA, they kept in touch, often visiting each other and remaining very close friends.
