Explore Lake Superior
Getting out on Lake Superior is our favorite activity when visiting the Apostle Islands. You can take a boat tour to see the sea caves, lighthouses, and pristine beaches with Apostle Islands Cruises, go kayaking for a more adventurous experience and, of course, you have to go for a swim! The lake’s temperature is not for the faint of heart, but cold plunging is the new trend anyway, right?
Visit the Orchards
Bayfield is known for its orchards and berry farms. Enjoy picking fresh berries like strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The pastries are also a must try! Our favorite is from Erickson Orchard Country Store & Bakery - you can't leave without trying one of their many baked goods
Hike the Trails
The Bayfield Peninsula and Apostle Islands offer hundreds of miles of hiking trails with scenic overlooks of Lake Superior. If you're feeling active, we highly recommend hiking as a way to take in the beauty of being Up North!
Explore Madeline Island
Madeline Island is our favorite of the Apostle Islands, which is why we are getting married there! Here are some of our favorite things to do on the island: - Go for a swim at Big Bay State Park & brave the cliff jumping - Pizza and ice cream at Grandpa Tony's - Dinner at the Inn on Madeline Island Restaurant - Enjoy the art and live music at Bell Street Gallery - Rent mopeds to explore the island - All the water sports: paddleboard, kayak, boat rental and more! - Golf at Madeline Island Golf Club

Bayfield is a charming small town located on the shores of Lake Superior. It feels like something out of your favorite Nicholas Sparks movie!
