FAQs

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please visit the RSVP section of this website to let us know who is coming to each of the wedding events. We are asking for your RSVPs no later than March 12th, but the sooner, the better! We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What do you mean by formal attire?

Answer

For men, we mean a suit and tie. For women, we mean a nicer dress than for a cocktail party, but it doesn't have to be a floor length gown. The vibe is spring time in Texas, so lighter colors and floral prints are encouraged.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be indoors, as will the reception, though we hope to have cocktail hour outside, weather permitting. Spring time in Texas is unpredictable, so we recommend having a jacket handy. Temperatures typically range from mid 50s to low 70s (note: this is much cooler in TX than those same temps in CO). It could rain, it could hail, maybe even a tornado, but we're hoping for clear, calm skies.

Question

What about kids?

Answer

The weekend's events are intended for an adult crowd. If you have questions or concerns about kids, please reach out to us.

Question

Where do I park for the ceremony?

Answer

Bishop Boulevard, which runs parallel to Perkins Chapel, is specifically designated for guest parking for the ceremony. A parking representative will be onsite to direct you. Additionally, the Meadows Museum will be open for parking, but guests may be charged if they choose to park in the garage. More info on navigating SMU campus can be found here: https://www.smu.edu/perkins/about/directions Uber and Lyft services are readily available near the venues and throughout Dallas.

Question

Where do I park for the reception?

Answer

The Filter Building has a dedicated parking lot immediately next to the venue. For those who plan to partake of the bar, Uber and Lyft services are readily available near the venues and throughout Dallas.

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures at the ceremony?

Answer

We have an excellent photography team who will be capturing important moments throughout the weekend. We ask that you please keep your phones holstered during the ceremony. You are welcome to take photos at the reception and any other events.
