The reception will take place at Cross Creek Country Club in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The address is 1129 Greenhill Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030.

Is there parking for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking for both the ceremony and the reception at no cost.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. Therefore, we recommend you aim to arrive by 4:30 pm to ensure you are able to comfortably arrive on time.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional. We would love to see our friends and family get fancy with us! Gentlemen, we request that you wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie. Ladies, we recommend that you wear an evening gown, tea-length, or midi formal dress. Dress to impress in your best black tie attire!

Gentlemen, we ask that you wear a tuxedo or a dark suit. Ladies, feel free to dress in your favorite bright summer colors or fun floral patterns. We love color and all the joy it brings! We can’t wait to capture everlasting moments with each of you in your fabulous outfits!

What should I do after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests can head straight to Cross Creek Country Club where the reception will be held. We will be serving light passed hors d’Oeuvres accompanied by an open bar during a cocktail hour on the pavilion.

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Answer

Dinner will be served at the reception. Guests will have a variety of dinner options with food stations and no formal seated dinner for a cocktail style reception. There will be dinner tables, cocktail tables, and other seating options, but no assigned seats.

What should I expect at the reception?

Answer

We have decided to have a “cocktail style reception”. Guests should expect a relaxed, modern, and social atmosphere. We will not be hosting a formal seated dinner with assigned seats. Instead, we hope to encourage our guests to explore the dinner options at each food station and mingle with one another while you enjoy the reception space and socialize more freely. After enjoying dinner, we hope our guests are ready to head to the dance floor and dance the night away!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn Mount Airy. When calling to make a reservation, please mention the Smith + Sparks Wedding and the discount code (WSS). You can also book a room online by following the link on the Travel page of our wedding website.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to “{Your Name} & Guest” if a plus one has been given to you.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Children of the family and wedding party will be accommodated on an invitation only basis.

Answer

Yes, we are registered on Zola! To view our registry, click on the “Registry” tab on this website. We are also registered at Crate and Barrel and Belk.
