The map outlines recommended areas to look for an Airbnb or rental; our personal pick is Hendersonville, on or near the lake. About the lake: Hendersonville is amazing; however, there are few options for getting around the lake. If you stay on the North side of the lake, you will need to drive around it. This can add anywhere from 20-40 min. of travel, depending on traffic. For example, Elissa & Will live where the heart is located. It typically takes us about an hour to get to Legacy Farms with traffic. Not horrible, but something to keep in mind when booking. For those looking to avoid some of the traffic, we recommend looking for rentals in: Old Hickory, Woodlake, Lakewood, Brandywine Point.
