Flight
O'Hare vs. Midway
Chicago has two major airports—O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway (MDW)—and both are reasonable options for our guests from out of town. Midway is smaller and slightly closer to the wedding venue. It’s located on the southwest side and is about a 25–40 minute drive to the Loop. You can also take the Orange Line train straight into downtown. O’Hare is larger, with more flight options, and is located on the northwest side of the city. It’s about a 45–60 minute drive to the Loop (depending on traffic) and is directly connected to downtown via the Blue Line train. Both airports are fully viable choices, so we generally recommend going with whichever one has the best flight options.
