FAQs

We've answered a few questions below that we hope will make your trip as seamless and enjoyable as possible. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Question

Y'all are already married, so what exactly is this thing?

Answer

Since we're already married there will be no ceremony - we're skipping right to the dinner and dancing! Think of this as a reception-only event where we will celebrate our marriage with all of our closest friends and family members.

Question

Should I fly into Tampa or Sarasota?

Answer

Sarasota is only a 15-minute drive from the venue and the ideal airport to fly into. Unfortunately, flights can often be more expensive, less frequent and not direct from your location. Check SRQ flights out first and if they do not fit what you're looking for, no sweat! Tampa has many affordable and direct flights from all over the country with several transportation options to and from the airport.

Question

What is the best way to get to/from Tampa?

Answer

If you wish to rent a car for the entire weekend, its a simple as picking it up and returning it to the Tampa airport (if you choose this option, plan to have $10 in cash with you for tolls). If you want a more pedestrian experience, you have the option of either booking an Uber or a car service to transport you to and from the airport. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the Tampa airport and drop it off at the Sarasota airport if you want to drive but do not want to rent a car all weekend.

Question

Do I need to rent a car for the weekend?

Answer

If you're staying in the downtown Sarasota area, either near or at the Ritz-Carlton, you will be just fine without a car. Uber is readily available and downtown is quite walkable. If you choose to stay on Longboat, Siesta, or Lido a car is not necessary but may be useful if you plan to explore the area.

Question

I'm looking for cute cottage with a small town, beachy vibe. Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out VRBO, Homeaway and Airbnb - there are plenty of condos and cute little beach cottages in the Siesta and Lido Key area.

Question

Longboat, Siesta, Lido, Sarasota...I'm unfamiliar with this area...what's the difference and where should I stay?

Answer

Longboat Key is known as a place where locals hang out. It has a long stretch of beach and is wonderfully low key. This is a great spot to rent a house or condo and relax with the family. If you're looking for a fun, beachy cottage check out Lido Beach or Siesta Key - you'll be able to relax, access the beach and have surrounding bars and restaurants to check out. If you prefer a "resort-like" vacation, Sarasota is the spot for you. From the downtown district to open-air markets, you'll have everything at your finger tips along with an amazing view and the sophistication of the city.

Question

I'm not staying at the Ritz-Carlton, how should I get to and from the Beach Club?

Answer

We suggest booking an Uber or a taxi to get to and from the Beach Club. If you choose to drive, valet will be available at the venue.
