6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
We hope that you'll be able to join us for our ceremony and the reception that will follow. You are among our closest family and friends by whom we hope to be surrounded as we take our vows. - Afterwards, we will descend downstairs to the reception where there will be dinner, drinks, dancing, and, of course, cake!
Cocktail/Semiformal - We want you to feel special and pretty/handsome. Please wear whatever makes you feel fancy! However, if you're someone who likes a little bit more structure, here is what Emily Post suggests: A semi-formal dress code is best described as being more formal than what you would wear to an office, but slightly less formal than what you would wear to a formal event. Do keep in mind that if the event is later than 6 in the evening, you’ll want to err on the side of formality. Women Short afternoon or cocktail dress A “little black dress” Long dressy skirt and top Dressy separates Maxi Dresses (Becca added this to Emily Post's list) Men Dark, business suit Matching vest (optional) Dress shirt Tie Leather dress shoes and dark dress socks
9:00 am - 11:00 am
**Please note that we changed the location of this event!
This is a very informal chance for us to give you a hug and see you before you depart. Don't feel like being social in the morning? That's totally okay! There are no expectations for this event other than we love all of you and would love to see those who feel up to being seen.
