Nassau and Witherspoon Streets have many downtown shops, boutiques and restaurants to explore. While you're here, be sure to check out Small World Coffee on Witherspoon Street for a morning pick-me-up. This is where Audrey and her mom spend their Saturday mornings! Olives is the perfect place for a perfect New Jersey breakfast sandwich or a hearty lunch. We recommend the chicken salad or a BALT. If you are in the mood for a sandwich, head to Hoagie Haven, the original hoagie shop in Princeton. Will's favorite hoagie is the Sanchez. Thomas Sweet Ice Cream on Nassau Street is our go-to, and truly has the best ice cream in town.
The battlefield serves as the 24-acre stage of the Battle of Princeton, bringing history to life. It is here that George Washington's Continental Army proved they could defeat British troops. In fact, the last shots of the battle were fired on the campus of what is now Princeton University.
A trip to Princeton would not be complete without visiting the university itself. Take a stroll around campus, and be sure to stop at Nassau Hall, the oldest building on campus. Check out the Princeton University chapel, where Audrey's parents were married. The Princeton University museum was just recently renovated and has free admission.
