FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is black-tie optional, meaning a tuxedo or dark suit with a tie for men, and a formal gown, elegant cocktail dress, or dressy pantsuit for women.

Question

Can I bring a date/guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We have decided to keep our wedding weekend an adults-only event. If you need any help making arrangements, please let us know!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! Trolleys will be available to take guests from the church to the reception and then back to The DeSoto after the celebration. Please note that transportation to the church will not be provided, as it’s just a short .2 mile walk from The DeSoto.

Question

Will there be parking at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking at the church is available in the Whitaker Street lot behind the church. The Yacht Club also has a large parking lot should you choose to drive.

Question

Can I take photos and videos at the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a photographer and videographer to capture all the beautiful moments of our day, so we kindly ask that you do not take photos and videos during our ceremony. We want you to be fully present, enjoying the celebration with us.

Question

Do we need a car in Savannah?

Answer

The short answer is no. Savannah is extremely walkable!

Question

Is there a dress code for the welcome event at the Chatham Club?

Answer

Yes, the Chatham Club requires men to wear jackets. We suggest cocktail attire for all guests.
