We’re getting married!

We were introduced via the Best Man, Kenneth.

(Alexis' Story) We spent Thanksgiving 2021 with my family in Panama City Beach, FL. I finished stirring the collard greens, albeit with ashy hands. We started gathering in the kitchen to bless the food. My uncle concluded the blessing and directed Will to "add-on" to the blessing. I was thinking, "Huh? Didn't we just bless the food? Alrighty then, continue blessing the food, boo!" I look over and see Will kneeling on the floor. I was totally clueless to what was going on. He grabbed my hand and proceeded to eloquently summarize his love for me. Once I saw the ring box, it hit me – complete shock! (There's a video - haha!) He asked and of course I said, "Yes!" He placed the beautiful engagement ring on my...ashy hand. (Will's Story) I was planning to propose to Alexis for months. She forewarned me that she wasn’t planning to keep dating (without a purpose) and that marriage was something she wanted in her life. What she forgot is that I planned to marry her from the very first date we had. My upbringing taught me that if you do something, do it the right way, and always speak from your heart. With that being said I wanted to make sure I handled our proposal properly – showing her how much I loved her to not only her, but her whole family as well. I’m the luckiest man I know!
