Billy Goat Trail Section C
Our favorite hiking trail in the area! We hiked Section C of Billy Goat Trail very regularly during the pandemic. An easy to moderate hike, 1.5 miles one way (3 miles out and back), along the Potomac River. The foliage is beautiful, and there is lots of wildlife that can be seen. Located across from NSWC Carderock. We hid a time capsule along the trail for ourselves years ago - it's hopefully still there, waiting for us to come back to one day!
Starr Hill Tysons Biergarten
A scenic rooftop biergarten in Tysons Corner that we enjoy and frequented when we lived in Falls Church. Live music, lawn games, mini golf, and a collection of food trucks available! A great place to have a beer and catch a sunset with friends and loved ones.
National Harbor
Take a spin on the Capital Wheel, stroll along the Potomac, place some bets at MGM National Harbor (blackjack is our favorite!), or find great deals at the Tanger Outlets. Plenty of activities, lots of dining options, and all with a lovely waterfront view.
Cox Farms
We went on our first official date as a couple to Fields of Fear at Cox Farms in 2018! Their Fall Festival is lots of fun for the whole family, and Fields of Fear is a classic Northern VA Halloween haunt. Enter if you dare!
Escape Room Herndon
Our favorite escape room in the area! We've finished every room that they have, including rooms that have since been decommissioned and replaced. The puzzles are creative, the rooms are immersive, and the solutions are satisfying. Earn a button for every room you escape, and trade them in for a golden button once you've earned them all. We have two golden buttons!
