Question

What's the schedule?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 5:05, so please arrive by 5:00. The ceremony will be over by 5:30, cocktail hour will be from 5:30-6:30, and the dinner/dance party starts after that. The Museum is easily accessible from Camino Del Rio if you're driving or the Animas River Trail if you're on foot. Just google maps it! There will probably be an afterparty out on the town.

Question

Parking at the ceremony?

Answer

There are 40 spots at the museum itself. There's a few off 14th street, but to get to most of the spots turn towards the river on 12th street (off Camino del Rio) and follow the road around until you get to the museum. There are more spots at Rotary Park. If you park there, walk down the river trail (past the gazebo and down the hill, not across the bridge) until you get to the museum. We'll have a sign. We HIGHLY recommend staying in town and walking to the venue if it's possible. Many places in town also rent bikes, and there are Ubers if you need a ride!

Question

Kids?

Answer

Nope. We kindly ask that you leave the littles at home unless you are breastfeeding. We like to party. You want to party. Nobody can party if people have to parent at the same time. Please don’t bring them along :)

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Funky formal. Get dressed up! Hannah believes there is no such thing as overdressed. Be comfortable but get out the nice stuff from the back of the closet. Wear the fun coat. *The ceremony will be outside, and the reception will be both inside and out. It is usually warm in Durango in August, but high desert evenings can get a little chilly!

Question

What are we eating at the wedding?

Answer

We will be serving dinner and drinks! The exact dinner is still to be decided, but we will have a vegan and gluten-free option. Please feel free to let Alex or Hannah know if you need something special :)

Question

Where should we eat besides the wedding?

Answer

Get a texas taco from Serious Texas Barbecue and drown it in the sauce. Pop Sushi is 10/10 and so is Cream Bean Berry. If you're downtown, East by Southwest is a favorite, as are Switchback Tacos, Eleventh Street Station, and the Durango Diner. For coffee, Durango Joes can't be missed. They also have burritos. Dinner is a taco bar, so do with that information what you will :).

Question

What else do we do in Durango?

Answer

-Walk the Animas River Trail -Hang out downtown Durango (Dgo has GREAT food) -Book store tour downtown: Maria's Bookshop, Second Story Books, and the San Juan Book Trader are all in walking distance. -Swim in the river -Do a guided (or unguided) trip down the Animas River -Drive to Lake Nighthorse to swim/paddle/adventure -Check out Ska Brewing for a beer (or Carvers, or Steamworks, or Animas) -Take a ride on the train ($$$, but once in a lifetime!) -Hike up Hogsback mountain -Have a picnic at Rank Park (its behind Hannah's house!) -Play Disc Golf at Fort Lewis College
