Taylor's Version of the Story

Who knew that a cold November night on Cater Lawn would be the beginning of the rest of our lives? Was that cheesy enough? She went from calling me Peyton to telling me she loved me off a whole bottle of wine within just a few months. Now, I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else. When I applied for a position with First Year Experience as an Orientation Leader the fall of my Sophomore year at Auburn, I definitely didn't think that finding my better half was going to come from it. Let alone, be the best decision that I have ever made. A few SOS hangouts and a lot of silence from me at training in Foy 189 led to Erin Wise finally putting the moves on me at the Sky Bar Cafe. Standing up quarters and a wonderful first date at Hamilton's was all it took for me to fall head over heels for this girl. When we finally made it official at a Zac Brown concert, I had never been more sure of anything in my life. Although, maybe asking during the opening chords to a song about looking up to your dad wasn't the most romantic. Ever since that moment, she has been my rock. She was always there and put up with me, Stacy, Casey, and the rest of the boys better than anyone else ever had. From Auburn to Phenix City to Roanoke to Macon to Montgomery to Nashville to Savannah, my love for Erin Wise has grown every single day. As the great April Ludgate once said, "I find myself hating most things, but I never seem to find myself hating you. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. Is that cool?"

Erin's Version of the Story

Where to start? Well, most believe mine and Taylor's relationship started in Foy 189 as orientation leaders at Auburn, which isn't a complete lie. That IS where we first came to know of each other, but let's be real. It all really started at Sky Bar, where most things start and usually come to an end. However, something was different with mine and Taylor's Sky Bar love story. It kept going, and I realized pretty quick I didn't want it to ever end. Our first date was at Hamilton's. A date that almost didn't happen, because I was most definitely sick, like really sick--fever and all. I was tempted to call it off, but I really wanted to see this boy again. So, I got dressed and went on a date. It wasn't long after that he started breaking his rule for texting me. (He would wait 3x the amount of time it took me to reply to him. LAME). A couple of months later, he asked me to be his girlfriend at a Zac Brown concert. I could tell he wanted to ask me at the concert, it was just a matter of when. To my surprise, he decided to ask during Brown's hit song "My Old Man." I didn't hesitate with my reply though. Then the infamous night of the endless cup of wine happened that ended with me telling Taylor I loved him-- a night I DID remember and DID NOT regret I might add. What can I say? A girl knows what she wants. I continued to tell him I loved him, and have continued to say it every day since-- through graduations, moves to a new city, A PANDEMIC, all the laughs and tears, and good and bad times in between. I can't wait to continue to tell him I love him everyday for the rest of our lives. We can't wait for all of you to be a part of the beginning of the next chapter of our love story.

For all the days along the way
