Our story first started back in high school, where our friendship first developed. We gained some chemistry as physics partners [no pun intended ;)] - Dakota's version will have Alex turning him down after he admitted to a crush, but Alex's version will have her being naive and not realizing his interest. We went our separate ways after high school, but remained in touch. It wasn't until after college that we reunited while both home visiting family. Dakota drove to Alex's parents' house late at night and declared his interest in true rom-com fashion...we've been inseparable ever since!

On our 3rd anniversary, Dakota planned a day full of our favorite things - yummy brunch, walks, scenic views, and Mexican food. While taking a walk through the local botanical gardens, Dakota seemed determined and focused, leading Alex to a beautiful hill overlooking the park. He started playing Ed Sheeran on his phone, got on one knee, and asked Alex to spend forever by his side. It was the easiest "yes," she's ever said... and for those that know her well, she can't even pick a restaurant easily. He hired a photographer to capture the day and memories we'll cherish forever. Later that evening, Dakota surprised Alex with a dinner at their favorite restaurant (where they also had their first date) with their families and closest friends.
