Abbie found Lena in Biology class at Mesa, when it was Mesa State College, and told her that they were in choir together. Lena was glad to learn this, and they were besties from then on. They have supported each other through really hard times and have shared many laughs.

Logan and Wiley loved adventures on two wheels and would escape to the sand dunes in the Little Sahara twice a year. Logan is the creator of the "Misfits" and was a huge support in Wiley's life. He also volunteered for the tricky task of transporting Lena to the proposal point via dirt bike. He will be loved always and is deeply missed.

Jennifer and Lena sang in Concert Choir together at Harding University and were roommates for a semester when they grew to be close friends. Lena spent a Thanksgiving at Jen's home near Lexington, and Jen's family then became her "Kentucky Family."

Lela and Lena met at church when they were 7 years old. They spent their growing-up years pretending to be twins, trying to out grow each other, singing together, and just having fun. In their "adult" years, they continue to support each other through thick and thin.

Another member of the dirt-biking Misfits crew, Nick and his family have become some of Wiley's favorite people and they have partaken in many adventures that may or may not include fireworks / setting things on fire.
