Haley and Wiley met at Ronceverte Elementary School when they were in 5th grade. Haley caught Wiley’s eye at a very young age. He asked her out, but she respectfully declined. Little did they know that there was an invisible string tying them together all along. Fast forward to Junior year of high school when Haley and Wiley had majority of their classes together. They were alphabetically assigned to sit beside each other and would occasionally talk and share pieces of gum. Haley and Wiley continued their lives separately, graduating high school and going to separate colleges 280 miles away. Their second year of college is when the two began to reconnect. They began dating on March 5th of 2022 and did long distance for two years. On July 6th of 2024, Wiley decided to propose to Haley at an overlook in Lexington, VA followed by an evening at a hot air balloon festival.
