Multnomah Falls is a scenic spot 30 min outside of Portland. Optional 1 mile hike to the top of the falls, or a 5 mile loop between Multnomah Falls and Wahkeena Falls. Timed entry permits are required 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily and can be purchased 14 days in advance. Nearby waterfalls (Wahkeena Falls, Horsetail falls) are other options that do not require a permit, but parking is limited and are highly congested in the summer months, so plan accordingly!
Nearby hiking/walking trails. Easy mountain biking trails accessible as well. Lovely views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St Helens. Accessible as there is a parking lot near the top. Still need to walk to the viewpoint for the best views.
Tree covered 4-mile trail network for a quick walk/hike.
