December 30, 2013 - It may have been the best thing that ever happened at Bungalow Billiards, a close second being Seafood night which soon after became a weekly tradition. It was a brisk and beautiful night, perfect for celebrating with friends and falling in love. James and his friends were shooting pool while Caitlin and Emma were waiting for the clock to strike midnight on Emma's 21st birthday. One of their mutual friends introduced them and merged the friend groups into one big party! James charmed Caitlin with his killer smile and Caitlin charmed James with her best Russian accent. They hung out until the bar closed... and then kept hanging out...until it got too cold to keep laughing outside the bar.

James and Caitlin solidified their friendship by indulging themelves in their shared love of outdoor adventures, late night car rides (blasting peak 2010 jams), and breakfast food. They made it official on August 14, 2014 as they found they couldn’t stop laughing, singing and dancing on James’s balcony. They have been inseparable the past eight years; exploring the great outdoors, going on road trips, camping, attending concerts, shows, drive-ins and all sorts of crazy adventures. James asked Caitlin to marry him on Summer Solstice June 20, 2020 while overlooking the gorgeous mountains in Shenandoah, with her best friend, their dog Nicki, there to help him out. Neither Caitlin nor James can remember what either of them said but she was wearing the ring and he was crying, so we assume she accepted. They were both pretty stoked on their engagement and Caitlin may have scared some townspeople by yelling out the window that she was engaged as they drove out of the mountains. Caitlin and James cannot wait to spend their Wedding day laughing, singing and dancing in the moonlight with their friends and family!

We are soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Wilde! We love and appreciate both our families very much and while our original plan was to blend our last names, through the process we felt drawn to become something new together, to commemorate the start of our own small family unit within the larger one we are uniting!
