Question

Lodging recommendations for the wedding:

Answer

For the time of the wedding (April 26thand April 27th)We recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express, San Jose, Costa Rica. Wilby and I are working with this specific Holiday Inn to try and get special deals given the # of guests we will be providing for them. They are reporting the room per night will cost ~95$ + taxes for both a single or double room. Once we finalize the details with the wedding planner, the Holiday Inn will be providing us with a special reservation link for our guest only – so if you want part of this discount under the Kurian Wedding we suggest waiting for this link – which will be posted here in the near future. The time from this hotel to the wedding venue is ~: 18 minutes (9.7 km). We will be providing transportation from the Holiday Inn Express to the wedding venue and from the wedding venue back to the Holiday Inn Express. The Holiday Inn Express is also only ~ 3 minutes (1.6 km) from the airport.

Question

More travel info:

Answer

Fabi’s friends and family are of course no travel guides! These are simply some locations we have enjoyed in our beautiful country. If you want more details or to make the most of your trip here are 2 travel agent suggestions from us: https://m.facebook.com/viajemosticos2085/ https://instagram.com/costaricaconoce?utm_medium=copy_link

Question

Best way to get around in Costa Rica:

Answer

If you are comfortable driving in a heavy transited area, we strongly suggest renting a car. It is possible to fly to Liberia (the place near the resort). You may want to ask your airline regarding this option. However, if you are really wanting to explore the country the best way to get around is by car.

Question

Traveling by cab?

Answer

Cabs are very safe in Costa Rica, especially the official red taxi-cabs. We do not suggest using Uber/Lyft. It is advisable to ask the cab driver to turn on the meter to ensure they are appropriately charging you. The meter will start at 660 colones and goes up by 660 colones every kilometer

Question

Currency

Answer

The local currency is colones – a lot of places will take dollars, but you will likely end up paying more if you decide to pay in dollars. There is a currency exchange in the airport.

Question

What else to know before flying to Costa Rica?

Answer

Depending on where else you are planning to visit (volcano vs. beach) the weather varies – so make sure you look up the weather in the places you are planning to visit to pack accordingly. For covid requirements you will need to complete a health pass 24 hours before your flight: https://salud.go.cr/ Also, due to Covid restrictions make sure to check with your airline for any other covid traveling requirements.
