The internet brought us together. I saw her profile & thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. I sent her a "DM" with no expectation of a response, but to my surprise she did. It wasn't too long after we exchanged numbers. I soon discovered she did not live in Maryland. Initially I was disappointed because of the distance, but something told me to pursue her. At that point, I had to make my move. I asked her to go on a date with me and she said “yes.” I made reservations to one of the few restaurants that remained open on Christmas day; words couldn’t even describe how nervous I was. I sat in the car mentally preparing to finally meet her. Soon after she arrived; looking even more beautiful than she did in her pictures. I tried to play it cool, but I began fumbling my words. We did dinner at Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown and then I took her to City Center in DC where the giant tree was. We shared our first kiss and it was magical. From this day I knew, SHE was it.
