Wil and Gracie met in the first semester of their senior year in Oxford, MS. They had a class together-advanced writing for integrated marketing communications. Gracie thought Wil was cute, so she started putting in effort to her appearance for class...unfortunately, Wil didn't notice. About a month later, Gracie and her best friend Kara were planning a trip to Auburn, AL to go watch the rebs play football. They wanted it to be a fun weekend, so they invited their other two friends, Ally Collier and Xander Gum, to tag along as well. Xander asked if he could bring his roommate Wil, and it just so happens that this Wil was the guy who Gracie had been crushing on. Gracie was super excited because she had been noticing him in class for about a month at this point. The 5 ole miss rebels crammed into Kara's toyota camry with no air conditioning for a 5 hour drive to Auburn. When they arrived, they all decided to go out in Auburn together. It didn't take long for Gracie to notice Wil's incredible dance moves, and she told Kara that night that she would marry Wil (although Kara didn't believe her at the time) Fast forward to the following week, Gracie kept showing Wil signs that she liked him, but Wil was not picking up. Eventually, one night, Gracie decided to tell Wil's friend Anna that she had a crush on him, hoping that she would put in a good word. Anna told Wil, but Wil didn't believe her. So Gracie took it upon herself to walk up to Wil and tell him to his face that she liked him. Wil was shocked, but excited. The rest is history :) 2020 was a tough year for us, as it was for so many others. We never imagined we would have to postpone one of the most important days of our lives. But we are SO excited to finally celebrate with everyone June 26, 2021!!
