Please arrive at 3:00 PM as the venue's doors will be ready to open at this time and allow guests to be seated for the ceremony. Ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM.
Due to limited venue space, this event is mainly for adults. We kindly ask guests they follow the number of reservations received. We hope you may enjoy this time for yourself while celebrating with the newlyweds!
We must exit the venue at 9:00 PM to allow the event staff time to clean up the entire venue. We also hope this allows you the time to have a safe trip back home.
There is no assigned seating for the ceremony; you may pick any side! There will be a few seats reserved at the front row for the wedding party to be able to support the bride and groom in some aspects of the ceremony. There is assigned seating for the reception; please see the following seating reception question below.
To help guests navigate the reception space, we will have assigned seating by guiding each guest to an assigned table. We will have a table seating chart to help each guest find their assigned table.
Our venue offers a parking lot with plenty of free parking spaces for the number of guest we are able to accommodate for. The parking lot is a very short walking distance from the venue's entrance.
While we can't predict the weather, we can plan ahead for it! Our venue offers indoor space to accommodate rainy weather. Typically it is warm in Virginia by the month of June as we are entering the summer season.
The ceremony will take place inside the lower level of the Sweeney Barn venue.
There is no major transfer to the reception location. The reception will take place in the upper level of the venue. There will be a cocktail hour before the reception that will take place just outside the venue.
There will be small bites and refreshments during the cocktail hour at 4:00 PM. Dinner will be served during the reception which will begin at about 5:00 PM.
We have a limited number for guest count, so we cannot accommodate for plus one. We kindly ask guests they follow the number of reservations received.
To help us plan the best experience possible for our guests, we encourage you to RSVP through our website. There is an "RSVP" tab which will prompt you to share your response. If you need assistance, you may also contact the bride or groom and we'll be happy to also take your RSVP through a phone call or message. Please RSVP as soon as possible as we do have to report our total guest count to our catering team.
The wedding is a semi-formal event, so we encourage you to consider wearing cocktail attire. May consider cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and formal jackets and slacks.
You may consider wearing any shoes you feel good in! If it helps to know, the majority of our wedding event will take place indoors with the exception of the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour will be just outside the venue's nicely kept grassy lawn. The parking lot is a very short walking distance from the building.
Before the wedding date, you are welcomed to reach out to the bride or groom directly for any further questions, or just to wish them well! At the day of the wedding our Event Coordinator, bridesmaids, and groomsmen will be available to support.
