We met in November 2019 at the launch of Dana's big queer book club in Brooklyn — sparks flew. And yet, Jennifer's attempt to bond over spreadsheet talk wasn't enough to land a first date. Fast forward to June 2020 — both Dana and Jennifer had chosen to try to find love during a pandemic via the romantic landscapes of Tinder. When they matched, Dana immediately messaged Jennifer to say hello again in spite of Jennifer's hilariously bad dating profile and a photo evidencing that she was a cat person. In seemingly no time at all, there were road trips, and outdoor winter wine tastings (remember 2020??), and work from home co-working sleepovers. It's been a wonderful whirlwind since then. To everyone's surprise, including Clyde's, Dana has become an enthusiastic cat step-parent and Jennifer still keeps the wheels of their domestic life turning via a series of elaborate spreadsheets. Their book collections remain separate.
