What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Our wedding is formal, meaning women should wear floor length dresses and men should wear suits or tuxedos. The Cathedral of Saint Paul requests that guests are modest and formal during the ceremony portion of the wedding. A shawl, wrap, or jacket is recommended if your outfit is sleeveless or low cut. Thank you for respecting this request during the ceremony portion! We also kindly request that women avoid wearing white, ivory, or shades close to the bride’s dress color please. :) Thank you for helping us make the day extra special!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 PM. Please give yourself enough time prior to the ceremony start time to find parking and your seat.

Where should I park?

Answer

For ceremony: There is a parking lot available at the Cathedral of Saint Paul. If full, please locate street parking. Give yourself enough time prior to the ceremony to do so. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before the ceremony begins. For reception: There will be valet parking available for purchase at Hotel Ivy! There are also two nearby ramps to the hotel if that is preferred: -11th & Marquette Ramp: Located at 1111 S Marquette Ave -Leamington Ramp: Situated at 1001 2nd Ave S, approximately 473 feet from the hotel

What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

To allow ample time for transportation and to provide a break between our wedding ceremony and reception, we will be taking a brief pause after the ceremony, which will conclude around 3 PM. During this time, guests are welcome to relax, freshen up and rest, or even stop by the coffee shop or bar at Hotel Ivy. Please remember to plan your timing accordingly so you can arrive at the reception venue in time for our cocktail hour, starting promptly at 5 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We love your little ones, we really do! However, we respectfully request no little ones on this night. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night!

Can I bring a guest/date?

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity at the reception, we can only allow the people named on your invitation.
