As how many couples meet these days, Eric and Jaclyn met on Bumble. On Bumble, the woman has to reach out first. Their first date was a Wednesday in September (his day off, chef life) at the Getaway in Lincoln Square. Jaclyn thought for sure a Wednesday would be a chill night but she ended up TWENTY MINUTES LATE because she couldn't find parking. Luckily Jaclyn was texting the entire time to assure Eric she was on her way and not standing him up. They are both very grateful for Eric's patience because the date ended up worth the wait. The conversation flowed as they played impromptu trivia that the bar was hosting and Jaclyn recalls loving Eric's true Chicago accent. Eric showed his chivalry and intentions by immediately planning a second date at an up and coming restaurant Eden. They celebrate their dating anniversary based on the first date because they both knew early on that this was something serious and special.
