Amidst the vibrant city of Nashville, illuminated by neon lights and filled with live music, our love story began to unfold on August 6, 2021, at the famous honky tonk, The Stage. Kacey's trip to Nashville started with a canceled flight, despite the set back, she continued on the trip with her roommates from the Hovey House, seeking a vacation with music, dancing, delicious food and drinks. Meanwhile, Ryan, sporting a mullet and mustache with a Carhartt tee (of course), found himself in the same city with his friends. Little did the two of them know, their paths were to cross in the most unexpected of ways. Kacey was hanging out with her friends, while her friend Britt texted one of old coworkers, Eric, to join Kacey’s group at The Stage as they happen to be in Nashville the same weekend. Despite Ryan's unconventional appearance, Kacey thought it was funny and was captivated by his smile and laid-back charm. They laughed, danced, and hung out together for the rest of the night. At the end of the night it was time to go and Kacey and Ryan exchanged phone numbers and have never stopped talking since.
