Our song is the slamming screen door.. haha jk. Adam and I met in a somewhat unconventional way. We went to high school together, but never ran in the same circles until senior year when I was dating one of his friends, haha. I broke up with said friend in May of 2016 and Adam started talking to me to originally try and get us back together. He then realized that was a bad idea once he heard my side of things. Over that summer we hung out a lot. Adam asked me out around 5 times before I finally said yes in August 2016 and the rest is history. We moved in together my senior year at Loyola in August 2018 and moved back home to Lake Geneva in 2019. In 2021 we took our first trip to Vegas and it quickly became one of our favorite places to vacation. Fast forward to June 2024 and Adam proposed to me on one of our trips to Vegas. This almost didn't happen because I was telling him to cancel our dinner reservation because my hair and makeup were not cooperating. He was stressed, but all ended up going well. He took me out on the balcony of our hotel and had me open a box that ended up containing the shoes from the Sex and the City movie that Big proposed to Carrie with, points for Adam for remembering me saying early in our relationship that I wanted someone to propose to me like that. Once the confusion wore off I looked over and saw Adam down on one knee asking me to marry him. My response, "I don't know, I have to think about it. It's so sudden" just to be funny because we had been together for so long at that point. Keeping with the Vegas theme we decided to get married at a chapel in Vegas and bring the theme to our reception in October. You’ll find Adam at a table somewhere and me out on the dance floor, so if you’re looking for a chat your best bet is Adam, haha.
