Whether you want to hit some local shops and restaurants/bars, or you're feeling adventurous and want to go hiking, or off roading in the mountains, this cute little mountain town and surrounding areas will have plenty to do if you want to make a weekend getaway out of your trip! Vail, Buena Vista and Breckenridge are all about 45 mins from Leadville and worth spending some time in if you are looking for more to do.
