We both started working for Chili's within months of each other, but also 300 miles away from one another, 6 years ago. Our paths stayed pretty parallel from that point on. Every year since Jake started he'd go to the annual softball tournament for the company and Alyssa would be there, but they would never cross paths at those. Three years working for Chili's eventually led to us both being asked to go up into management within months of each other, also. That's when our paths started to magnetize even closer. Then comes July 2016 when we both were told we'd be given our "AD day" as part of our training, that was when we first met. Jake sat at a table waiting for the other MIT's (Managers in training) and then Alyssa walks in. Our first actual meeting. Jake was blown away. We had a casual meeting, not much said, but Jake knew he needed to know Alyssa. He just didn't get a good chance to then. Fast forward a few months, Chili's sends its new managers to a work seminar in Chicago and it just so happened they would be attending the same one this time around. The second night at the seminar Jake finally had his chance to talk to her and start getting to know her and he took it. They were like opposite sides of a magnet once they started talking. End of the night, they end up parting ways for the night only for Jake to work up the courage to go back to her hotel room door and knock to ask the question, "Do you think I could get your number?" That was the start of something amazing. Jake relocated his job down to her within months of meeting this amazing lady named, Alyssa Wiegand.
Our wedding will be held in Alyssa’s grandmother’s backyard. We have blocked rooms with the nearest hotels. There will also be parking nearby for your convenience.
