Travel Note
The two optimal routes for traveling to Port Gamble are (1.) commuting via the Edmonds-Kingston ferry service or (2.) driving around the peninsula. (1.) While the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry service takes roughly 45 minutes to commute from Edmonds to Kingston, you need to be prepared to wait for a long ferry line if you decide to make a day-trip out of the wedding! Don't be that guy that didn't make the wedding because you were late getting in the ferry line! The latest ferry service we would recommend leaving Edmonds to arrive for the wedding on time would be the 2:25p departure. (2.) The drive from downtown Seattle to Port Gamble by-way-of I-5 South and WA-16 West is 87 miles long. Travel time is highly dependent on traffic congestion so we would recommend erring on the side of caution and adding at least an hour to your expected drive time (we all know you can’t trust a drive through Tacoma!). In peak traffic the drive can take more than 3 hours.
Flight
Daily services into Seattle Tacoma International Airport and Paine Field Airport are your best bet for arriving in the greater-Seattle-area by aircraft. If traveling through SeaTac, be sure to stop by Beecher’s to enjoy their famous mac-and-cheese! Fun fact – Shannon’s famous Jersey cows produce the milk to make Beecher’s scintillating flagship cheddar cheese.
