How did you know we were dreaming of those crystal champagne flutes?! They’re by far the most beautiful glasses in our home and we’ve never felt fancier. You’ll have to come over soon so we can toast to you! So excited to see you in June.

Laura & John

We first met in St. Joseph, MN while attending CSB-SJU together. John was a senior, while Laura was the cute sophomore who caught his eye. To get her attention, John kicked a soccer ball across a giant yard into Laura and her friends for a quick pitch. "Hi, I'm John. I live at the Rat Trap. What are you doing tonight?" 

And so it began.

Their first date was at the Metrodome, taking in a Vikings game; only Laura could divert John's attention from the game. "What's a sack?" she asked.

The two always remained in touch after college, often catching up over a Twins game or at a local brewery. They eventually rekindled their relationship at the start of COVID-19. When the world was shutting down, the two were busy igniting an old flame. They began dating again in 2019 before moving in together in 2020. Their sweet dog Rubio could finally have his mom around full-time. Their relationship has grown every day for 15 years, culminating in an engagement in Walker, MN this past Christmas.
