Altitude affects everyone in different ways, but it has been known to be prevalent in Estes Park (which is at 7,522ft of elevation). For those who might be prone to altitude sickness we recommend to everyone that you drink lots of WATER before you land in Colorado, and continue to hydrate during your time in Estes Park. If you partake in libations while in Estes park, please also beware - every drink can feel like 3 for those not yet acclimated!
This wedding may feel a little off the grid, as the mountains can tend to provide spotty service. But that's part of the magic, right?! And if you need to be productive or post a 'gram on the big day, the good news is our venue has wifi. That said, be prepared as other areas such as hiking trails and other activities you may not be as reachable.
If you are unable to attend, but still want to give your well wishes to the bride and groom there will be an opportunity at either the reception in Texas or the reception in California. More information to come on date, time and location for each of these.
We will be inside for most of the wedding events. Pending weather, our brief ceremony will be held outdoors. Typically Estes Park averages around 50 degrees that time of year. We suggest double checking the weather before packing, but keep in mind the weather can fluctuate quite a bit so we recommend you pack layers.
We are envisioning this as an adults only ceremony and reception (with the exception of our family which includes our niece and little cousins).
