At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, when the world felt so distant and uncertain, I met my man my man my mannnn ☺️. I was scrolling on Facebook and I saw his picture in the "people you may know" section, and I was like ohhh he's cute so I sent him a friend request but not really thinking nothing of it because I literally never respond to people in my inbox. I always said I would never date anyone off social media 😭 To my surprise, he reached out to me in my inbox, and that simple message turned into conversations that lasted for hours every single day. Even though we were in the middle of a pandemic, our connection grew stronger with each conversation. Eventually, when it felt safe enough, we decided to go on our first date. From that moment on, our relationship blossomed, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I was breaking the Covid curfew sneaking to go see this man lol Eventually he met my family. And yeahhh 😏 I was receiving flowers just because! Not only was he bringing me flowers, he was bringing my girls flowers too 😩 I was sold!!! Looking back, it’s incredible to think that a simple friend request led me to my forever love. The rest, as they say, is history! 😊
On 11/05/2023, we were in Paris celebrating my 29th Birthday. The night before my birthday, he gifted me a really cute pearl necklace and I was so happy with just that. But I know my man lol, It's never really that simple with him EVER. So I felt like there could be something else but honestly, if there wasn't I would've been fine with that. So the whole day he treated me very shitty. Not shitty but it wasn't giving "Birthday Princess Treatment". He later explained that he had to put on an act so that I wouldn't expect anything else let alone an engagement proposal. At the end of the night we drove to a boat harbor right underneath the Eiffel Tower. He blindfolded me, we took a few steps (it felt like we were walking forever lol) and he told me to stand still. It was really quiet so all I could hear was the water crashing against the wall. Then he told me to take the blindfold off. Well y'all saw what happened after that lol That man was on one kneee 😭 . I was SO SHOCKED!! My heart was so full. I immediately started crying. He really got me good! He was so nervous he forgot his speech. He literally just put the ring on my finger lol . Afterwards, we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant across from the Eiffel Tower. I was still in disbelief. I couldn't wait to share the news with my close friends & family ☺️
