Jonathan and Ashley originally met in preschool, not that either of them remember it. That was the first and last time they went to the same school. In high school Jonathan and Ashley reconnected through mutual friends. After an invite to Ashley’s homecoming (In hopes that she would get to go to the all boys school dances) and a few “unoffical” dates they soon began dating.

Jonathan and Ashley’s first date was to Haunted Acres of Terror and Ashley held his hand the whole time so he didn’t get too scared. After, he joined her for a Halloween party with some girl friends and he put up with that, from that moment on she knew he was a keeper.

The couple attended 11 high school dances together between their separate schools. That was a lot of dresses, shoes, and flowers, shoutout to Dick’s Flowers in Alton. Jonathan supported Ashley by watching her cheer, or he was watching the football/basketball games, we’re still not sure… Ashley would follow Jonathan around on the golf course and hit a shot or two. The two were always out with friends and integrated perfectly into each other’s worlds.

College was a journey for these two! Ashley began at Baylor University and got a visit from Jonathan for Baylor Homecoming. (She couldn’t have her first homecoming without him!) Jonathan started at WashU and was embracing college in the city. Little did he know he’d be joined by Ashley at Saint Louis University! After figuring out Baylor wasn’t the path for her, Ashley began her amazing experience at SLU. Soon after, COVID hit and they were both back at home quarantined. Once the world was back to normal and they were able to return to their colleges they began their busy social lives with friends, night life, and sorority socials. (You guessed it, more dances!) Their junior year they moved in together with Cheerio the cat. Ashley soon realized that Cheerio and Ashley’s bond was just too tight for Jonathan and he needed his own friend. In comes Jacques, an absolute menace to their lives from there on out. (We love him, don’t worry!) Senior year went smoothly for Jonathan and Ashley as they continued to hang out with friends and soak up the last bit of college. Ashley graduated from Saint Louis University with her Bachelors of Science in Leadership & Human Resource Management and Marketing. Jonathan graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with his Bachelors of Art in Chemistry with a focus in Biochemistry. Then they dashed off to Europe with the Turners to celebrate!

After college Jonathan and Ashley moved to Soulard and convinced their friends to do so too! Soulard is a neighborhood within the Saint Louis city limits that is known for its historic French roots (Mardi Gras, WOO!) and night life. Jonathan and Ashley love to zoom around on their golf cart and hang out with their cats. They also adopted a third cat after realizing that Cheerio was not prepared for all the playfulness Jacques had to offer. After 13 foster kittens, they caved and adopted Martini, Tini for short, a Maine Coon mix. Jonathan works as a Lead Analytical Chemist and enjoys his coworkers. Ashley is a Human Resource Recruiter for Hourly workers for a family owned business in Soulard. (Golf cart drive to work!)
