Chris planned our engagement during a trip to Dallas. He planned to propose where we had met 5 years earlier at White Rock Lake. Saturday morning he suggested to me going on a walk at White Rock with Julia and her dog Brinkley. We all got coffee and pup cups and made our way to White Rock with Chris making sure Julia parked near where we met and me having zero idea. The three of us and Brinkley walked around until Julia and Brinkley dropped behind. Chris suggested we wait for Julia at a bench facing the water. Once we sat down, Chris said "this is it" and I began to cry realizing what was happening. He stood up from the bench, got down on one knee and proposed. Overcome with joy and excitement, I said yes and then we laughed when we realized the ring was upside down in the box. We embraced and giggled as trail-goers cheered and clapped thus starting this sweet engagement. We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with y'all! See you in CO!!
