As of today (May 21, 2021), things are looking good for a summer 2021 wedding, with no restrictions that we know of, unless the Town of Provincetown enforces anything on their own. If anything changes and we need to downsize or postpone again, we will keep you updated.
If you made reservations for our 2020 date at the Provincetown Inn, they have moved your reservation to 2021. Feel free to call the hotel to confirm your reservation: 508-487-9500 ext 249 or email Eric at groupsales@ptowninn.com. If you planned on staying Friday and Saturday, your new dates will be July 16 and 17, 2021. There is a two-night minimum. If you would rather cancel your reservation, Eric has told me that he will refund your deposit. Please contact him for all details.
As soon as possible! Cape Cod summers can get crazy so things will definitely book up as summer gets closer. The Provincetown Inn has many rooms but we have no idea when they sell out so I'd book now to be safe.
In order to allow everyone a day of relaxation and fun (including the parents!), we have not invited children. All invitees will be indicated by name on the invitation & RSVP. We are also at our maximum cap for attendees with Covid restrictions.
While we would love to share this day with everyone, we have chosen to have an intimate ceremony and reception, and we are restricted with Massachusetts Covid regulations. Plus ones will be indicated on your invitations by name.
We're asking that you please keep your phones, cameras, and tablets away during the ceremony. We want our photographer to capture your faces, not your phones. After the ceremony, there will be plenty of chances to take cell phone pics, don't worry! We will share the professional photos with you as well.
Formal invitations will be sent out closer to July, and at that time you will be able to RSVP on this website.
Yes, the ceremony will be held under the sun (pending the weather), and the reception will take place under an outdoor tent. Be prepared for hot and sunny weather and maybe some wind!
The only bummer about this hotel is they do have a two night minimum. However, if this impossible for you, let Megan or Chris know and they can try to work something out with the hotel. (Please note: most hotels in the area have the same, if not longer, stay-minimums)
If you are in Boston I would recommend the ferry! It is faster than driving and you won't really need your car in PTown, everything is in walking distance. If you are elsewhere feel free to drive, parking is free. Just be super cautious about traffic! There will always be Cape traffic - leave earlier than you think you should.
We would suggest arriving sometime on Friday to enjoy Provincetown for the weekend, but if you are coming down on Saturday, please arrive by 3:45pm at the latest - plan extra time for traffic!
10:00pm is when we need to conclude the reception under the tent. We will be having an after party inside at the hotel.
Cash bar! Bring your dolla bills because they cannot take credit cards under the tent (where the reception will be).
We have a whole section on "Things To Do", but if you want to make up your own schedule, downtown PTown is a short 1 mile walk from the Provincetown Inn. Just walk down Commercial Street until you hit the main strip. There are endless things to do, see, eat, and shop for on Commercial Street.
