Question

What now? - after Hurricane Helene

Answer

Hi friends / family, If you are not already aware, the entire Western North Carolina area has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. We are both heartbroken for this entire area, and especially for some of these special areas where Rachael spent so much time growing up. It will take years to recover from this for many communities. Ultimately, after discussion of many possibilities between ourselves and with our families, we have decided to postpone our wedding until 2025 so we can have it in WNC and at the same venue as we had originally planned. Our new date is Friday, 5/2/25. If you still plan to come and want the same food, you do not have to change your RSVP details. If you could not come originally and can now join us or could come and now cannot, please RSVP again so we can update lists for our vendors.

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are number of AirBnbs, local cottages and hotels in the area - book early if you can since this is a great time to visit Western NC. Though our venue is in Weaverville, which is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville, we encourage you to stay in Asheville if you've never visited. If you prefer to stay closer to the venue, that is fine too! What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is recommended, but we want you to be comfortable. We plan to hold the ceremony and cocktail hour outside with an indoor reception.

Answer

Our registry is directly connected to our wedding website so you can find everything we are registered for there!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will have veg-friendly foods, some lactose-free options, and can do gluten free (GF) upon request, but please let us know if you have an allergy / sensitivity that we are not aware of so we can let our caterers know.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at Weaver House and around downtown Weaverville.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend you carpool with family / friends that are coming if possible. There is parking available behind the venue. If you plan on using a rideshare such as Uber or Lyft, we suggest you book this in advance if possible.
