Beautiful beach in Ventura with a pirate ship wreck, playground for kids, and grassy areas for picnics.
Rincon Beach
Around 20 minutes from Ventura, this beach offers spectacular ocean bluff views and great waves. Most TAC students prefer Rincon Beach to Ventura due to its beauty and wider sand range. It's the perfect beach for surfing, playing spike-ball, hanging out, and watching the sunset.

The perfect Californian stop after a beach day. Definitely order inside, and skip the drive-through.
Mission Basilica San Buenaventura
Mission Basilica San Buenaventura was the 9th mission established by Fr. Junipero Serra in 1782. It is a beautiful place to visit and attend mass. They also offer self-guided tours and have a museum and a gift shop.
Main Street
Ventura Main Street is a fun place to hang out! There are lots of good coffee shops, thrift stores, trinket stores, and places to get lunch and dinner.
Rice by Mama
A TAC student's favorite place to get Thai Food on Main Street! Nate and Teresa went on their first date here. He got the Pad Thai, and she got the Massaman Curry. They both couldn't stop laughing and smiling.
CAJÉ Coffee Roasters
A fun place to get coffee or matcha on Ventura Main Street! Teresa wrote half of her senior thesis in this coffee shop. It also turns into a cool bar at night.
Ojai
Nestled in the Topa Topa mountain range is the city of Ojai. Nate and Teresa went on a few dates here, browsing Bart's books, looking around the farmers' markets, playing pickleball in the park, and eating pizza at Ojai Pizza Co. It's a fun, crunchy, boho town to walk around in and explore!
The Dutchess
A beautiful coffee shop in Ojai that serves yummy coffee, tea, sourdough breads, seasonal croissants, danishes, cakes, cookies, pies, and other pastries.
