We would love to be able to properly plan in advance for you all to arrive. Please RSVP as soon as you know your plans and no later than June 15, 2025. We look forward to making this an unforgettable weekend!
There are a variety of methods to get from both San Francisco Airport (SFO) and Oakland Airport (OAK). If you are staying at Hotel Petaluma, you will not need a car for the wedding’s activities. 1. Car Rental: Both SFO and OAK have a wide variety of car rental services. This is especially helpful for someone who wants the flexibility to explore the surrounding area between events. 2. Car Share: Both SFO and OAK have easy access to Uber, Lyft, and traditional Taxi services. 3. Private Shuttle: There are several private shuttle services which will take you from SFO / OAK to Petaluma.
Please dress however you’ll feel most comfortable. We’ll certainly be a touch dressed up, but not in a tuxedo or ball gown. Have a look for ‘farm chic’ if you want any inspiration! We’ll spend the afternoon outside and we anticipate weather in the mid 70’s to low 80’s. We’ll spend the evening in a restored barn, but you might still be interested in a light jacket, shawl, or scarf. The evening may dip down into the mid 60’s. LADIES - PLEASE PICK YOUR SHOES CAREFULLY 😊💃 Much of our wedding will be outside with some uneven ground, so stilettos will not fair well. Instead, we highly recommend a wedge, flat, boot, or really anything you’d feel comfortable walking around a playground. We don’t want any rolled ankles. And besides, Dr. Liehr is off duty!!
The coast of Northern California has a very diverse set of micro climates. As such, we recommend you bring some options, some layers, depending on how long you are planning to stay and where you are planning to visit. Here’s some of what you can expect from the weather: - Petaluma’s average temperature in August is 82°F. This means for the the Welcome Party, we anticipate a nice warm afternoon, perfect for short sleeves. Into the evening you may want a light jacket or sweater. - Stemple Creek Ranch’s average daily temperatures in August is about 73°F. We anticipate the ceremony to to be in the low to mid 70’s and may cool off into the mid 60’s throughout the evening. We do not anticipate any rain. We'd recommend bringing a jacket, sweater, or shawl for the evening as it may get chilly. - If you plan on visiting the coast, you may anticipate cooler weather in the mid 60’s. - If you plan on visiting wine country, you may anticipate weather in the mid 90’s.
We are offering shuttle service from all 3 of our preferred hotels. While we encourage all our guests to take the shuttle to the wedding, there is limited parking available at Stemple Creek Ranch for guests who prefer to drive. The venue is about 25 minutes from downtown Petaluma. If you plan on driving, please note two things: 1. Cell service may be limited on some parts of the drive. Please download directions to the venue in advance to ensure you can find the venue. 2. Please don’t drink and drive. We want to ensure everyone has a great time and gets home safe. If you are not ready to drive home at the end of the night, please take the shuttle back and grab your vehicle in the morning.
