Roger and I met through a mutual friend, and we became instant friends. I was always amazed at how fast it happened because we started to hang out and talk every day as if we'd known each other for years. I'm talking, day one he's picking me and our friend up from school (we were all attending COB at the time), and we'd go wherever we felt like going. As the years went on, we grew closer and closer, and Roger became one of my best friends. There wasn't a day that went by where I didn't hear from him or he didn't hear from me. I knew that when we finally got together, I could hear people say, "It's about damn time!" Lol! Now it's been 10 years since we've been together and we're getting married, and I could still hear the people saying, "Well, it's about damn time!" We've been through so much but there was never a really a doubt in my mind about whether or not we could make this work. He's my person. Truly the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm sure he'd say the same.
