Tom and Whitney went on a backpacking trip through Olympic National Park rainforest. Twelve miles back to a mossy covered paradise was base camp for the weekend. They then hiked up near Mount Olympus to see the glacier, little did Whitney know that wasn't gonna be the only ice she got up there! They were getting close they thought until an older gentleman pointed up the mountainous, rocky path to which Whitney was not sure if it was worth it to go on. They decided to press on cuz heck, they had gone 9 miles and 5,000 feet elevation that day already. The older man peaked his head over the path and apologize, as the glacier was right there! They made it to the top (barely... haha) where Thomas got down on one knee and proposed to Whitney, to which of course she said YES. A good representation of marriage if you ask us :) tough, a hard journey where the end looks so far and undoable, but TOTALLY worth it!

Our mutual friends Scott and Lindsey Hippe introduced us by inviting us both climbing at the gym Urban Ascent (may that gym rest in peace). Whitney gave Tom a ride home since he was biking in the winter and had left her phone at the gym, to which she gave Tom her number to help her find it. Smooth, we know ;) phone was found, numbers exchanged, and the rest is history!
