How do I find The White Room?

Answer

Please note that while the address to the venue is technically 138 Green Street, our venue is part of a much larger building called Crompton Place that contains many small businesses. The actual entrance and location for our venue is in the back of the building on the ground floor, off of Harding street. If you are driving or taking an Uber/Lyft, we strongly recommend putting directions into 220 Harding Street to find it. This is a parking lot directly next to the courtyard, reception room and garden where all events for our wedding will take place. What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is cocktail attire. For October in New England, this may include knee-length or midi cocktail dresses, snazzy jumpsuits, elegant separates, dressy covers ups/jackets to keep you warm and suits/sports coats with a tie. While this is a semi-formal event, we both love to be cozy, so guests are encouraged to wear outfits that make them feel their best! Feel free to reach out if you'd like advice or have any questions.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in the garden and courtyard of our venue. For October 12th in Worcester, we likely anticipate temperatures anywhere from low 50s to high 60s. Fingers crossed the forecast will be sunny and warm but we recommend checking the weather the week of. If it is raining, the entire event will be held indoors. If there is a slight chance of rain, we may provide umbrellas and risk some sprinkles to enjoy the outdoor space! Once the ceremony is over, guests are welcome to move indoors for cocktail hour if desired.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

All aboard the yellow school bus! We will be providing roundtrip shuttle transportation from the hotel blocks at The Courtyard Marriott and Hampton Inn & Suites. There will be two shuttles transporting folks from the hotel to the wedding. The first shuttle will leave from *The Courtyard Marriott entrance at 4:40 PM and the second shuttle will leave from The Courtyard Marriott entrance at 5:00 PM. There will be two return trips to the hotel from the venue later that evening. One for the early birds and one for the folks that want to stay til the very end! *Please note, the Courtyard Marriott and Hampton Inn are directly next door to each other. To keep things simple, the shuttle will only be picking up at the entrance to Courtyard Marriott. Guests staying at The Hampton Inn should make their way over to Courtyard to hop on the shuttle. If you are not staying at the hotel blocks but would like to utilize the shuttle transportation, you're welcome to park at the hotel or nearby and hop on the bus. There is a parking fee at the hotel of $15/day per car. There is some street parking and some larger parking lots further down Grove street if you would like to explore free or cheaper parking options.

Is parking available at The White Room and where should I park?

Answer

If you prefer to drive to the venue, there is plenty of pay for parking available. We recommend putting in the address to 220 Harding Street, Worcester, MA 01604. This is a pay for parking lot that is directly next to the venue. Parking here is $5/hour. There is also metered street parking and other local lots at cheaper rates in the area. Please note that this is a busy "downtown" area of Worcester that can be a bit hectic depending on the day. For this reason, we recommend utilizing the provided shuttle transportation or parking in the lot at 220 Harding Street.

Are kids welcome?

Yes this is a kid friendly wedding! We look forward to celebrating with our friends and family of all ages. Chicken tenders and french fries will be available for any kids interested. If there is anything we can do to make the event more enjoyable for parents and your kids, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I have more information about the welcome event on Friday evening?

The Liu's will be hosting a welcome event on Friday evening! This is a fun opportunity to say hello and kick off the wedding celebrations if you are in the area. All guests are welcome to attend. We will have the space from 5:30-8:30 PM and folks can stop by for any portion that works for their schedule. Family style bites and beverages will be provided throughout the evening. There is no schedule or agenda other than to enjoy one another's company! This is a casual event, please feel free to wear anything you would to dinner or drinks on a weekend night out. Guests can drive or Uber/Lyft to The Mercantile. There is some metered street parking right outside the restaurant and several convenient parking garages right nearby. For the best rates we recommend looking for street parking or heading to the Worcester Common Garage at 3 Eaton Place, Worcester, MA. For the most convenient parking option you can also park at Mercantile Center Garage on Level 3A located at 201 Commercial St, Worcester, MA.

What time should I arrive to the venue?

Answer

We hope to begin the ceremony at 5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive to the venue between 5-5:15 PM to allow time to get seated and settle in.
