RJ and I met at a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy II in the Spring of 2017 through mutual friends. We didn't start hanging out until the following Fall. Some of our first dates included the movies, pizza dates, and LSU football games. Our official anniversary is September 23rd, 2017! We dated through my last two years of college and got engaged on May 10th, 2019. RJ proposed in New Orleans at Pat O'Brien's with a hurricane in hand and my family around.

RJ currently is attending the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and is in his second year. Whitney is in the last year of her graduate program and will graduate in May with a Masters in Education. They enjoy exploring Baton Rouge and spending time with their animals, Dixie and Sophie. They are excited to begin their new journey come May 2021 as "Aunt & Uncle" to her sister's baby girl!
