Italian culture and ettiquette

Tipping is not customary, there is normally a service change included on your bill. Dinner is usually served late, with an option for apertivo at an earlier hour at some restaurants and bars. This is typically lighter fare with cocktails or wine. Breakfast is often an espresso with a pastry, or bread. Whitney particularly seeks out a heartier breakfast, and will find a caprese sandwich or prosciutto and focaccia. Most fueling stations will have an espresso bar, enjoy!

Fattoria Le Giare

This is the venue for the wedding and also has several apartments on the grounds. Please let us know if you prefer to stay on the grounds or make other arrangements. There are several villas, hotels and airbnbs around the area to choose from. Specifically, the wedding planner suggested "Casina del Bibo" as a reputable villa that is very close to the venue and events. We do ask that if you plan to stay on the main grounds that you are going to be there throughout the length of stay Oct 10-17 so there are not rooms sitting empty that could have been occupied by friends and family.
