What should I wear?

Answer

This is a semi-formal event! Bridesmaids will be wearing purposeful mis-matched dresses in an earthy color palette similar to what's pictured above (hues of green, pale pinks, buttery yellows, shades of brown). You don't have to match the wedding-day color palette, but are welcome to. When picking an outfit, keep in mind the average temperature in Virginia in August is 85 degrees.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be held indoors. The cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?

Answer

If you're coming from out of state, we would recommend getting a rental car. There is plenty of parking available at the venue. Uber and Lyft are also options. Uber costs will likely range between $25-50 per trip, depending on where you're staying in Charlottesville.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue by 5:15 pm. You're welcome to come as early as 5:00 pm but there will be no food or drinks served before the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm.

What time is dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be at 7:30 pm. However, cocktail hour will take place from 6:00-7:00 pm. During this time there will be a few light snacks in addition to cocktails.

What's for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be self-served, wood-fired pizza made with locally milled grain. There will also be a couple of different seasonal salad options made with local ingredients. Gluten-free pizzas and salads will also be an option for guests. If you'd like a gluten-free pizza, please send Whitney or Matthew a text by July 2 so we can let our caterers know.
