Whitney and Logan met during their mutual time at the University of Oklahoma. While Logan was studying abroad in Italy, Whitney joined his friend group in Norman. Their friends raved about how perfect they would be together. When Logan got back to school in January 2014, their friends didn't waste any time setting up a "meet cute." Logan created a scavenger hunt to ask Whitney to be his girlfriend on 02/06/14. They had no idea that 6.5 years of long distance awaited them.

Logan proposed at sunset at Marshall Point Lighthouse in St. George, ME. Whitney was completely shocked because (to her knowledge) it was only supposed to be a trip to celebrate Logan's 30th birthday. The engagement was made more special with their parents there to share it with them. They spent the rest of the weekend in engagement bliss showing their parents why Maine has always held a special place in their hearts.
